This is an introductory overview of the Attachment Injury Resolution Model used in EFT Couples Therapy.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to name at least one type of event that could create attachment injury.
2. Participants will be able to name at least one symptom that distinguishes an attachment injury form couple conflict.
3. Participants will be able to name one publication where they can learn more about attachment injuries and the treatment of attachment injuries in EFT couples therapy.
4. Participants will be able to describe the differences in working with attachment injuries in stage 1 versus stage 2 of EFT couples therapy.
5. Participants will be able to explain the impact of attachment injuries on outcomes for couples counseling.

Dr. Elizabeth Polinsky is a Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor in EFIT, EFCT, and EFFT. She is also the president of the EFT Community of Hampton Roads.
